First launch and network access

Allow local network access so HAZE can receive DMX.

On first launch, macOS asks whether HAZE may access devices on your local network. Choose Allow, or HAZE can’t receive sACN, Art-Net or MVR-xchange.

HAZE also asks which network interface to listen on.

The first time HAZE starts listening, it asks: “Which network carries your lighting data?” Pick the interface your console is on (or All interfaces) and click Listen. HAZE remembers your choice.

Open HAZE ▸ Network Preferences… (⌘,), choose the Interface, and click Apply. sACN and Art-Net changes take effect right away; NDI interface changes apply the next time you open HAZE.

Open System Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Local Network and turn HAZE on. If it’s already on, turn it off and on again, then reopen the show. If no sACN arrives, HAZE shows a banner with an Open Settings button that takes you there.
